Portugal: Porto-Livraria Lello

Today we explored Porto!

Our major stop was at the Livraria Lello: a beautiful bookstore. This is mandatory for any bibliophile. I collect books from other countries so I made this stop a top priority.

The architecture in this place is gorgeous and with the stop. Tickets are only €12 and should be purchased directly from the bookstore’s website lest you get ripped off. It’s also important to purchase before you go. We purchased tickets in the morning and had no trouble getting afternoon tickets this way, but I overheard others in the bookstore talking about paying more for tickets because they did not purchase early and had to go through a 3rd party.

My favorite thing (besides all the books) were the faces on display on the books!

There are also many places to wander around near by: a few churches and a park.

It was nice to wander and learn about the city and its rich history. Just looking at the buildings and their tiles was worth the adventure.
