Portugal: Lisbon

Started the day with a cork factory tour. The whole process is really interesting. It turns out taking the outer bark off does not actually remove the part of the bark that feeds the tree water and nutrients.

We spent the rest of the day walking around Lisbon to get to know the area.

Above is one of the many train stations. The architecture here is so ornate and wonderful to see.

We also tried the Ginjinga-the cherry liquor that Portugal is known for. It was intense for me but I am not much of a drinker.

There is an awful lot of graffiti, but some of it is quite cool.
